Marathon Library Outdoor Concert
January 26, 2017

The Marathon Branch of Monroe County Public Library is proud to present its first free outdoor concert on Thursday, January 26, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Folk-rock duo The Kennedys will be performing under the stars on the librarys brand-spanking-new outdoor stage in the back garden. Join us for some fine tunes, excellent companionship and light refreshments (and awesome twinkle lights). In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors into the community room. The Kennedys are both a band and husband and wife; based out of New York, they are in the middle of a tour of Florida. Singer-songwriters Pete and Maura Kennedy have been performing together for 20 years, and some of their musical influences are the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and the Byrds. Their latest album is called West Dave Simpson of Pure M Magazine wrote, West is a collection of thirteen enchanting tracks whose heartfelt and passionate execution makes for a wonderful listening experience For more info about the Kennedys, check out kennedysmusic.com.
