Art Workshop (Marathon Library)
February 26, 2018
Details:

“Creating Realities Art Workshop” is a weekly gathering held on Mondays that is led by local artist Silvia Fontaine. Materials will be provided by the library.

The artist sees the group as less of a class than a workshop where all participants will bring their experience and create a project together or individually. Fontaine was an art teacher in Cuba for nine years and has a bachelor’s degree in art history.

“I think art is not a luxury but part of life,” says Fontaine. “I want to work to give my small knowledge and the opportunity for people to learn, express and enjoy art totally free. I think it is a human right.”

For more information about this event, call the library at 305-743-5156.
