Where to Play
There is no end to the list of things to do in Marathon and the Middle Florida Keys. You’ll find activities here in the Heart of the Florida Keys for family members of all ages and energy levels! The history of Marathon is firmly anchored to its fishing heritage, so naturally you’ll find the waters surrounding Marathon offer internationally acclaimed action! You’ll find yourself in the center of it all; whether offshore sport fishing, intense battles in reef fishing, or the challenge of backcountry and flats fishing. Book a full or half day fishing charter with one of the local, knowledgeable, talented captains.
Want to get out on the water (or better yet UNDER the water), but not interested in fishing? Check out the kayak tours, paddle-boarding, kite-boarding, wake-boarding or other board sports by utilizing one of our amazing local guides who will provide you with top-notch instructions, tours, and quality rentals right here in Marathon! Our winds, shallow waters, and natural environment make for some of the best board sports in the world!
Are you more interested in staying on land and checking out the local attractions? Visit the Turtle Hospital, historic little Pigeon Key island and museum, the Crane Point Hammock Nature Preserve and History Museum, or the world renowned Dolphin Research Center where you can get up close and personal (even swim with) Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins!
